Berlin, around Potsdamer Platz
There's something about Potsdamer Platz which keeps me coming back. Maybe it's because after a long stint drawing I love the walk home along the canal.
Berlin, Historic Mitte
Drawing in the rain under the Paul-Lobe-Haus and the Marie-Elizabeth-Luders-Haus. I had to keep moving position to avoid the rain drops.

Berlin, Berliner Dom, Staatsbibliothek & Potsdamer Platz
Beliner Dom, I did this drawing in three trips, each time working until my fingers lost feeling because of the cold.

Another brief lunch time concert at the Philharmonie followed by a surprisingly warm stint of drawing the Staatsbibliotek and some more buildings around Potsdamer Platz

More drawing in Berlin
I was asked to draw the Sony Centre as a gift for the architect Helmut Jahn, thankfully it warmed up enough to sit outside all day and not get numb hands once!

A quick drawing of the view over the Spree, too cold to sit in one place for too long that day!

Berlin
I am in Berlin for a while, getting lots of architectural inspiration and trying to stay warm. It's a world away from being in India but an interesting contrast. I went to a lunch time concert at the Berlin Philharmoniker today and heard some beautiful music from Misa Criolla. Afterwards I took the opportunity, while it wasn't totally freezing, to do some drawing outside, until my hands lost all feeling. Then retreated inside for a coffee and more drawing. There's even some people in the second image!

Sir Peter Cook 75 Peters Exhibition + The Adam & Eve Projects

I am a big Archigram fan so was excited to be invited to contribute '75 Peters', an exhibition being held in Brisbane, Australia (in association with the Institute of Modern Art) and London to celebrate the architect Sir Peter Cook's 75th brithday. The exhibition will begin in Brisbane on 26th October and all the artwork will be auctioned with proceeds donated to the charity Architecture for Humanity. I'm looking forward to seeing the other 74 portraits!

Lascivious love owl

I drew a 'little love owl' for a playing card project for the lingerie brand Lascivious a while ago. They have just launched solitaire on their website so you can see the full set, or purchase your own of beautifully illustrated love themed cards to play a different game...

BARCELONA MMXI

So apart from being very excited about my brother's wedding at the weekend, I am also very excited about the drawings I did whilst I was visiting Barcelona again recently. Two weeks of total happiness, doing what I love. I can't wait to get into the print studio but in the meantime here are a few work in progress shots of my sketchbook.
