Went up to the highlands a couple of weeks ago to take some medium format photographs for a comission...it was amazing to get away from london for a few days and see nothing but hills and stags and hear owls twit-twooing at night. It was so cold though, but well worth the pain of frozen fingers!...and we had the tastyest carrot cake in the world to keep us going!!!
we were really lucky to manage to get shown around the ball room on the Mar Lodge estate, which houses an unbelievable 2435 stag sculls
I started doing an artist in residency placement at st. martins in the screen printing workshop a couple of weeks ago...here's what i printed on my first day...i love screen printing!!
I had a solo exhibition at analogue in edinburgh last year called 'Loch Bubo'...based on a fictional location inhabited by scottish wildlife with strange architectural structures dominating the landscape.... for every show analogue publish a zine called runnking amok...here's a few pages from issue 11, 'suzy q and the owls: Loch Bubo' (Bubo Bubo is the latin name for an eagle owl!)
