Multiplied at Christies, London
I will be showing a brand new print at this years Multiplied with Print Club London. The print is called Flamingos and is inspired by the birds which I saw on my summer travels.
It's a three colour screen print and an edition of 20.
"Following the success of the ground-breaking inaugural contemporary editions fair Multiplied in 2010 – the first of its type in the UK – Christie’s is pleased to announce that the salerooms in South Kensington will once again be transformed during Frieze week this year...The fair will be open to the public with free admission from 14-17 October 2011."

Sir Peter Cook 75 Peters Exhibition + The Adam & Eve Projects
I am a big Archigram fan so was excited to be invited to contribute '75 Peters', an exhibition being held in Brisbane, Australia (in association with the Institute of Modern Art) and London to celebrate the architect Sir Peter Cook's 75th brithday. The exhibition will begin in Brisbane on 26th October and all the artwork will be auctioned with proceeds donated to the charity Architecture for Humanity. I'm looking forward to seeing the other 74 portraits!

Lascivious love owl
I drew a 'little love owl' for a playing card project for the lingerie brand Lascivious a while ago. They have just launched solitaire on their website so you can see the full set, or purchase your own of beautifully illustrated love themed cards to play a different game...

BARCELONA MMXI
So apart from being very excited about my brother's wedding at the weekend, I am also very excited about the drawings I did whilst I was visiting Barcelona again recently. Two weeks of total happiness, doing what I love. I can't wait to get into the print studio but in the meantime here are a few work in progress shots of my sketchbook.

The new Mr & Mrs Wright
Congratulations to my big brother Pete and his new wife Sarah- I was asked to design the wedding stationary for their wedding on the 4th September 2011. The wedding took place at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh so the design included a variety of leaves and wildlife and lots of bright colours to go with the bouquets, which were so pretty!
The actual day was perfect with so much fun and happiness and I'm very excited to have a new sister in law and extended family!

I am looking forward to this!
If you would like to come to the private view on May 24th please email me:
susie@susiewright.co.uk or rsvp@artworkspace.co.uk
Art Work Space is proud to present The Menagerie, a group show that
brings together the work of four female British artists: Fran Giffard, Ella
Johnston, Izzie Klingels and Susie Wright. The exhibition of drawings
and prints has been curated by Art Work Space Gallery Director Naomi
Murtagh, who was fascinated by the way the individual artists uniquely explore
different levels of fantasy or realism, whilst having all developed their work
from the same source inspiration: nature.
