I've been doing bits of drawing in Windsor Great Park recently. It's a haven from the hustle of East London. The park is home to the most amazing oak trees, a huge herd of deer and lots of exciting birds. I making a little book about from the research I've been doing and a set of screen prints which will be along the lines of the image below.

van doesburg

I had a good morning at Tate Modern last week listening to piano music and doing some drawing at the Van Doesburg exhibition. I lived in Holland for a few months, many years ago now, but seeing this made me want to go back and emerse myself in exciting design.

the new bird prints were shown at the royal academy's original london print fair on eyestorm's stand

and also appeared amongst a selection of other screen prints on the walls of print club's reconstructed studio at somerset house.

i had a bit of a studio clear out and sold various printy bits at knock down prices at superette
its amazing how much you accumulate over the years!

hen

i have been working on a new series of bird drawings and prints, including this hen. she belonged to my aunt and uncle but was eaten by foxes shortly after i took the photos i drew from.
